Places to Visit in Thrissur District

Thrissur (Trichur) is universally acknowledged as the Cultural Capital of Kerala. The city is centered around the Vadakkunnathan Temple and its famous Thekkinkadu Maidan, where the spectacular Thrissur Pooram — the 'mother of all festivals' — takes place every year with 30 caparisoned elephants and competitive fireworks.
