About Athirappilly Waterfalls
Athirappilly Waterfalls, often called the "Niagara of India," is Kerala's largest waterfall at 80 feet high. Located on the Chalakudy River, it cascades through dense tropical forests of the Sholayar range. The falls have been featured in numerous Bollywood and South Indian films. The surrounding Vazhachal Forest Division is home to elephants, leopards, and the endangered hornbill species.
